Stronger than ever – WESTKUST are back

Westkust released their debut album LAST FOREVER in the spring of 2015, including the smash hit Swirl. Everybody loved it, from Pitchfork, NPR, Stereogum, The Line of Best Fit, etc, including many AOTY mentions.
Since the album was released, they have done a couple of tours in Europe, have had some changes in band members, and now they’re finally back with the new album WESTKUST.

The first single SWEBEACH shows what to expect from the new album. It’s dirty, catchy, hard, fast, and first and foremost the melodies are amazing. Shoegaze punk at it’s absolute best. But the album also contains more slow songs, as they’ve already proven that they can handle more than well.

The songs are written mainly by Brian Cukrowski and Julia Bjernelind. Cukrowski was one of the founding members of the band in 2011, but quit before the first EP, but is now back as a permanent member. Pär Karlsson have replaced Hugo Randulv on bass as well.
